Some examples from my cutout experimentation, from the earlier stages of my project. Using mount board, I cut out quotes from an interview with Oded Ezer. My intention was to take the letters that made up the quotes into external environments that related to the quote displayed. Although after further consideration I found that the negative from the cutout letters was a stronger visual piece.
